Read some papers on this ages ago, saw some youtube videos on actually making the stuff as well, this is a really cool technology, if they can nail the production. Perfect example of where government spending makes sense, ie to kick off a new technology that has great potential but also too much risk for industry to get interested.

She is definitely doing propaganda, sure, but, she is like a third rate white house employee and seems to be actually interested in the thing she got hired for. I liked the other guy (the one from four years ago) better. As a Europoor my opinion on 'murican politics doesn't matter, still this could be one of the few things your current administration is doing right. Actually in some ways this is what the orange man kicked off 7 years ago, bringing back manufacturing and innovation from Chaina.

thanks, i just ran into this Phenomena myself Today, and the face value counterintuitiveness of it. but between the research i've done over the past Hour (including this Video), it makes sense now. it's not counterintuitive, the way the effect operates and propagates just isn't what i assumed. now i know! :)

Looking at the political situation in the US seems problematic when factual information received from the wrong side seems to be tabu for them. Thinking like this makes just no sense and hurts innovation.

I have traded emails with Lilly once. She is top notch. She says yeah alot because English is not her first language and the host is already describing the process. When they deal with customers all over the world on-line, I think they use a translation program so they can communicate in just about any language. It's not perfect but it works. If you ever use the chat or e-mails and you are not using Chinese, just use short concise sentences, use correct spelling (no abbreviations) and stick to the terminology of the trade that their translator can handle. NO: Wipe out the stuf on top layer that to miniscule to the nakd Eye. YES: Please, on the Top Overlay layer, remove all text that is less than 40 mils height. They are pros and may find things in your design that you will miss. My first PCB ever, not just with them, but ever... I clicked a wrong setting in my Gerber set up and it drew traces under one of my markings as a copper trace underneath it. Even after 3 re-uploads to try and fix it I could not see the error (I didn't know how to use an on-line Gerber viewer yet). I told them to build the board anyway and I will remove the shorts by hand. It was my first design, simple, one sided, and a learning process. They were very patient with me. When I got the PCBs, they were perfect and they removed the short in the Gerber for me. And they didn't charge me extra. Don't expect that from them every time, they knew it was my first time - learning the PCB design tool (CircuitMaker) and their process, so they went the extra step. Before you upload to JLCPCB, use Gerber viewer and look at ALL of your layers, one at a time, and look for issues. JLCPCB has great prices for small, one or two sided boards with not too many holes in them. By givening them perfect designs, they can keep their prices low.

This isn't quite the right tool. You want an extractor bit that's not only left handed but also has extra bite. Given those are so much better at removing stuck hardware, unless you have some OTHER use for left handed drill bits, they're still useless.

Thanks Scotty and the entire Prusa team for this in-depth interview! I've been loving my XL for months now, but this practically face-to-face view of (nearly) the entire process and location my own XL went through to come about finalizes the healing process of the XL wait time. I'm childishly anxious to see the next Prusa product to be drooling over, as well as the next Strange Parts video!

awesome video. The only two MRI's I've been able to acquire are studying my epilepsy, not TBI. And there seems to be a big difference in the number of "slices"; more is better for 3D printing, so I presume TBI related scans are better. But that could have as much to do with facility; not sure. Thanks for sharing another cool interview. I hope it at least got you a free scan of your own brain to print! 🧠

Not admitting that giving credit to politicians supports and perpetuates propaganda is neither “healthy” nor responsible. Being honest and clear about both our intentions AND consequences of our actions is what helps build a better world, not policing dissent and censoring peoples voices

You densify it to the point that it is stronger than steel, but it loses its flexibility. Ancient Japan learned that lesson thousands of years ago. They dry wood for the same reason, but they retain the flexibility of the wood. A building needs to be flexible especially when facing earthquakes.

I agree with most of the comments here. Carbon capture HAS been a huge source of green washing to pretend to do something, while helping next to nothing, so yet another capture scheme is reasonably met with skeptisim to me. The questions I see are: Where are the other inputs sourced? The energy (is it solar, or heat)? The hydrogen sourced from where (if from natural gas, is it even capable of capturing as much as it produces, is possible at an economical rate of power usage?)?

  • @asheiji7205

It's only feasible in counties with abundance of wood, because here in our country a regular lumber is already more expensive than a tubular steel. I think a building constructed out of that will cost as much as it weighs in gold. Nonetheless, it's an amazing product and I'm all for it🎉🎉🎉
